Baltic Sprint Cup Dinner after MAIOR regattas in Hamburg

On Tuesday, May 1st, some of the skippers who had registered for the Baltic Sprint Cup 2012 met in Hamburg for an exquisite brainstorming dinner with views over Hamburg’s Binnenalster. Race Director Alan Green flew in from London to attend the evening.

NRV president Andreas Christiansen explained the necessity for the decision to cancel the Baltic Sprint Cup that had been made two weeks prior to the night. The decision was not an easy one for those in charge at the NRV, but the low number of registered yachts and the inability to secure sponsoring lead to this, the only financially responsible, conclusion. Everyone present at the dinner was very understanding.
