Opportunity arises from Banking Crisis

“The highly successful Baltic Sprint Cup will continue” said Henning Rocholl last night. Rocholl is the organizer of the acclaimed Baltic offshore sailing series. “We are actively discussing the 2009 and future events with potential new sponsors in the wake of the decision of banking group DnB NORD, to give up their major role due to the banking crisis. “

The event has a formidable record: after only 4 editions it is rated the Baltic’s top long-distance offshore event.  Its unique format, involving as it does new ports, cities and countries in the region each year, makes it attractive to everyone with an interest in reaching international sailors and supporters around the world as well as directly involving local populations.
