Hamburg / Bückeburg, 31.10.2007
SAIL & RACE is delighted to welcome SE Spezial-Electronic AG as the Baltic Sprint Cup 2008 Start-Up-Sponsor at Travemünde.
Christopher Wuttke, chairman of the board of SE Spezial-Electronic AG, Bückeburg, said: “As an enthusiastic offshore sailor, I know the Baltic Sprint Cup is a great series with wide appeal. We are delighted to be involved again as a main supporter of the 2008 series".
SE Spezial-Electronic were sponsors in 2006 when they donated a marvellous breakfast to the competing crews at the Final Show Down in Warnemünde.
Christopher Wuttke’s own boat “Guts ‘n’ Glory" is returning from successful completion of the tough 2007 edition of the Middle Sea Race: “My crew and I look forward to racing the 2008 Baltic Sprint Cup. There will be plenty of variety, good competition, fair sailing and a lot of fun. The event provides an ideal vehicle for us to introduce the values and services of our company to the growing number of influential people who take part in and support the sport of offshore sailing.
SE Spezial-Electronic AG has been a distributor for electronic of electronic components for more than 35 years. However, the portfolio was not very extensive at the beginning. During many years, the products of the main suppliers MAXIM/DALLAS and EPSON were in the foreground. Yet, this phase was very important for the profiling of the company. In those times, as a renowned specialist, SE acquired its abilities to support intensively and successfully a product line.
A future-oriented component distribution, however, has to offer much more in the meantime. The decisive standard is the satisfaction of the customer who increasingly expect complete product and service offers. In 2000, this requirement became a standard for SE. As a result, Spezial-Electronic presents itself with a largely new program today: approx. 30 products lines in the ACTIVEs, PASSIVEs and EMECHs segments, a large number of logistic services and an intensive customer support by 10 product management teams have made the company to a leading service distributor.
